Oh i see,,,,as far as in Roanoke,,,nothing at all to be honest,,,,,there is a good friend of mine whom i got into drum&bass who now is part of a production crew called..Dioptrics......well he played in Richmond last month,,,,,said it was a dope party,,,good vibes!! He produces,,,got tunes on various labels,,,,Def Limted,,,Peer Pressure,,,got their own label called Abducted......but as far as parties here,,,,,,no way!!!! Roanoke at 1 time back in the day when i was coming up ,,,when I was a "raver", 17 years old,,,,had a really dope underground scene!!!! Those were the days,,,,,but of course the city caught on about 1996,,,,shut that down and put about a hand full of the scenes drum dealers in prison for about 5 years.........me personally,,,,took time off from djing,,,basically because the way technology has advanced and the explolsion of CDJ's has killed vinyl and the turntable...but I know i gotta stay up with the times,,,,so iam looking to but a pair of affordable Cdj's and start playing CD'S!!! lol......its just not the same as playing records though!!!! Shit sucks,,,,,,but anyway,,,,,,and after 14 damn years of djing,,,,,an Associate of Science Degree in Recording Engineeing Degree and failed attempts of working the professional side of the industry iam currently messing around with the trail version of Ableton Live 7,,,,,,,,,,,,,I am looking to buy the full copy,,, plus a new desktop computer,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,been doing this shit to long man not to finally after all these fucking years to get into production................got loads of ideas,,,,,,,,just no output,,,,I have actually produced tunes with my friend that is in Dioptrics,,,,but because of our personal issues and egos,,,they didnt get released under our production name,,,,and when I was in school in Flordia back in 1998,,,,I made a tune with another friend of mine that made it onto AK1200'S CD for Moonshine,,,,,,,but again,,,,I have had production credits,,,,,,,and input but I need to to do my own shit,,,,cause if I know 1 thing,,,,,,,,,,from experience,,,,is that in this industry unfortunately nobosy is your friend and its always the people closet to you that burn you...............i mean at the end of the day its all about drum&bass but too many damn people wanna be number 1,,,,,they want all the attention............shit is wack,,,,I just wanna give my 2 cents and keep the music going!!!!
